Clinical Process with Gender Expansive Clients

This class is designed to help therapists think deeply about their work with gender expansive clients. We will briefly discuss basic concepts before turning to our primary focus on clinical issues. Topics will include relational concerns, countertransference, and enactments. No previous experience or training on the subject is needed. Participants are invited to bring questions and clinical case material for discussion.

PRESENTER BIO:

Dr. Laura Caghan is a psychologist specializing in gender diversity. She is also a Training & Supervising Psychoanalyst and the President of the Newport Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Caghan has taught at area universities and presented at national psychoanalytic conferences. Locally she leads a monthly consultation group for gender therapists. Her clinical interests include early trauma, depression & anxiety, attachment, LGBTQ concerns, plus creativity & work issues.

Individual courses are $60. Create your own series of 4 or more for $50 per course.
